THE PARAGON PHILOSOPHY

At Paragon Machine, we recognize and give full respect to the special nature of 'MIL-SPEC' requirements. We utilize the MIL-SPEC procedures as a structure for manufacturing control; not as a necessary evil to be circumvented when possible.

BIDDING

We believe quality parts delivered on schedule begin with the quotation. Each print receives a very detailed analysis of each operation involved for its manufacture. This insures the most complete and cost effective results to you the customer.

MACHINING

Our forte is milling, hole machining and turning challenging parts. We find most of our work lies within the following areas:

Castings that require imaginative fixturing concepts to preclude part distortion and still hold the part rigid to absorb the cutting tool vibrations.

'Hog-outs' where most of the original metal is removed, but also require close tolerances and dimensional stability.

Turned parts made from bar stock or castings requiring close dimensional tolerances and with thin walls subject to tooling pressure distortion. We have produced many thin wall threaded parts of this type.

Deep box-type parts requiring long reach, small diameter tools. These parts often have severe undercuts, and thin wall and web cross sections.

Complex parts with multiple features on several sides that are related through close tolerances.

QUALITY CONTROL

Our inspection facility is built around a state of the art, computerized coordinate measuring machine. We can expedite first article and incoming casting inspection with this equipment. We routinely hold hole machining and turning tolerances of ±.0003" and milling tolerances of ±.0005".

MATERIALS

Our experience and 'comfort level' extends to a wide variety of materials. We routinely work with military grade materials such as aluminum and other non-ferrous metals, stainless steels and a wide variety of plastics including the glass filled types.

SPECIAL PROCESSES

Experience has proved we can provide better service to our customers by avoiding the use of outside services where practical. Therefore, we provide the following ancillary services:

Hardware assembly. We routinely assemble threaded inserts and other types of hardware. We are one of the larger users of Helical wire form inserts Tangless & Tanged and 'Keenserts' in Florida.

Metal Finishing through our subsidiary:
Aero Spec Paint and Finish, Inc.
